Redwing Living

This wonderful Wisconsin family wanted warmth and cohesion throughout their contemporary/modern home, aligning the interiors with its impressive modern exterior. As part of a larger remodel, we designed and installed their living room, dining room, and entry, making them light, bright, and fit for entertaining large groups of people. On the first level, we gutted the master bedroom & bathroom, turning it into a sophisticated, streamlined, relaxing space. A major moment was a custom hand-painted mural designed and painted by Sat Hari on the curved wall above the bathtub, containing imagery representing each family member.

The existing living room had a massive, dated fireplace that protruded into the living room, blocking light and reducing the amount of usable space. Sat Hari redesigned the fireplace wall to reflect a clean contemporary aesthetic. She designed custom built-in shelves with concealed accent lights to flank the hearth face and extended an existing partial bench across the entire fireplace wall, seamlessly incorporating the new fireplace design into the existing architectural elements of the room.

Using a local furniture maker, Sat Hari designed the dining, coffee, and entryway tables.

For the master suite remodel, Sat Hari reconfigured the layout of the bed and bath. She created a light, spacious, and serene area in the bathroom while respecting the architect’s original curved walls. To add a burst of color and accommodate the curved wall, Sat Hari designed and hand-painted a bespoke mural of gentle blues and greens full of meaning and symbolism for the client. read less.. read more
